make a successful screen printing order!
1. Artwork
While it may seem like a no-brainer, you’ve
got to have you artwork picked out! If you’re providing your own artwork or
using a provided design, the company you’re ordering from needs to know. Make
sure any designs your provide will translate well once they’ve been screened
on.
2. Apparel
Companies often allow you to order several
types of apparel at once with your order. While you may want to please
everyone, the costs of using different brands and styles can add up. Choosing
one option could make it less expensive, but no matter how many styles you
choose—make sure you have the correct number! No one wants to come up short or
have too many!
3. Deadline
When you have a date you need your printed
items by, make sure you let the company you’re using know! Most companies will
tell you a likely turnaround time, but if you have an event coming up then
there’s no reason to risk it! Also keep in mind that it takes time to process
you order, complete your order, and then have it shipped to you.
4. Shipping
Shipping times and prices can sometimes seem
like your enemy. You think you have the total figured out and then you get hit
in the face by a shipping fee. Always make sure you have calculated the
shipping fee in advance so you’re not taken by surprise. This is an especially
good idea if you’re splitting the cost of the order with someone else.
Never forget that shipping times are not
always accurate. Give yourself plenty of time to receive your order before the
date of your event.
